MICA is induced on secondary antigenic stimulation. An HLA-A2–restricted CD8⁺ T-cell clone was cultured alone or with an autologous B lymphoblastoid cell line (APC) pulsed or not with the NS3_1406-1415 specific peptide derived from hepatitis C virus. Cells were harvested after 6, 12, 24, and 42 hours of culture, and stained with anti-MICA mAb (thick line) or with an isotype control antibody (filled histogram). MFI values relative to MICA, evaluated by gating on CD8⁺ T cells, are shown. A representative experiment out of 2 is shown.
