Analysis of subpopulations of B cells from wild-type, BCAP−/−, CD19−/−, or CD19−/−BCAP−/− mice. (A) Splenocytes, peritoneal cavity cells (PECs), and bone marrow cells were recovered from wild-type (WT), BCAP−/−, CD19−/−, or CD19−/−BCAP−/− mice. The cells were stained with the mAbs as described in each panel and subjected to flow cytometric analysis. Numbers on the panels indicate the percentages of cell populations. (B) Cell numbers of subpopulations in the spleen, and bone marrow cells from 2 tibiae and femurs were calculated by multiplying the total numbers of recovered cells by the percentages of B220+CD43+IgM− (pro-B), B220+CD43−IgM− (pre-B), B220loCD43−IgM+ (immature B), and B220+ (splenic B) cells.
