miR-34a induction after DNA damage correlates well with induction of p21 and Bax, but not Puma. Regression analyses of miR-34a induction 16 hours after irradiating CLL cells with 5Gy in relation to (A) p21 (P < .001; R² = 0.455); (B) Bax (P = .002; R² = 0.385); and (C) Puma (P = .1; R² = 0.131).
