Comparison of the percentage of ALDH⁺ cells found in DCs and MF subsets in various lymphoid and nonlymphoid tissues. DCs and MFs were isolated from the skin, the LP of the small intestine, liver, thymus, spleen, and the MLNs, MELNs, and CLNs using the gates specified in Figures 1, 3, and 4 and supplemental Figures 2 and 3 and analyzed for ALDH activity. Data correspond to mean ± SD of results from 3 separate experiments.
