Figure 2. Potency of fusion cells in the stimulation of allogeneic T-cell proliferation. Patient-derived DCs, myeloma cells, and fusions were cocultured with T cells from a healthy donor at a T-cell:target ratio of 1:10, 1:30, 1:100, 1:300, and 1:1000. Cells were cocultured for 5 days, and T-cell proliferation was determined by incorporation of [3H]-thymidine (1 μCi/well) after overnight pulsing. Stimulation index (SI) represents counts per minute (CPM) of sample per CPM of unstimulated T cells. Results are presented as mean ± SEM from 16 samples at an antigen-presenting cell:T-cell ratio of 1:10.
