Figure 6. Generation of infectious Dengue virus by platelets. Fresh platelets (5 × 105/mL) were incubated with DENV2 (5 × 106 virus particles/mL) for 1 hour. After washing 3 times to remove unbound virus, the pellets were resuspended in serum-free M199 without (closed squares) or with cycloheximide (1 mM, open squares) and cultured at 25°C or 37°C.
