Enhancement of the expression of c-fms mRNA by IL-10. Total RNAs (15 μg) from macrophages generated from monocytes cultured for 7 days with M-CSF + IL-10 or M-CSF alone were loaded in each lane. Total RNAs was processed for Northern blotting as described in Materials and Methods. Lane 1, mRNA from macrophages cultured in M-CSF (50 ng/mL) alone. Lane 2, mRNA from macrophages cultured in M-CSF (50 ng/mL) + IL-10 (25 ng/mL). Arrow indicates rRNA size markers. Evenness of loading was assessed by hybridization with a GAPDH probe.
