Combined DNA/RNA analysis of normal PB lymphocytes (A; control) and primed PB and steady-state BM CD34⁺ cells from the same healthy donor (B). All PB CD34⁺ cells were found in G₀/G₁ with 64.9% of cells being in G₁-phase with a low RNA content. Conversely, cell-cycle distribution of BM sample is as follows: G₀ , 51.8%; G₁ , 36.6%; S, 10.4%; and G₂M, 1.2%. The numerical results reported in the lower panels of the figure represent the sum of PB and BM cells found in G₀ + G₁-phase, normalized to 100%.
