Effects of anti-TPO antibody on erythroid and megakaryocytic colony formation supported by Epo and TPO. A total of 7.5 × 105 day 10.5 yolk sac cells were plated into methylcellulose cultures containing 2 U/mL Epo and 10 ng/mL TPO. Only Epo was added in the control (c) culture. Various concentrations of anti-TPO antibody were added as described. Numbers of colonies containing erythroid-lineage cells (A) and those containing megakaryocytes (B) are shown.
