At 6 months, the number of patients with normal T- and B-cell function was higher among B+ SCID than among B− SCID patients (51% v 14% [P < .01] and 29%v 9% [P < .05], respectively). Correspondingly, the number of patients with absent T- and B-cell function was higher among B− SCID than among B+ SCID patients (41% v 11% [P < .01] and 61% v 37% [P = .05], respectively).
