Unusual CD8^dull T-cell subset counts before and after treatment for HD. The gates for these CD8^dull subsets (either CD4⁺ or CD4⁻) are shown in Fig 1. Although the majority of the posttreatment HD patients had counts within the normal range, several individuals had counts above the highest levels found in controls. Five of these individuals had elevated levels of both of these subsets.
