Deduced amino acid sequences of the clonal VH genes. Differences from the germline gene segments are shown as upper case letters or as underlined letters in the CDR3s. The locations of silent mutations in the nucleic acid sequences are indicated with lower case letters. Only mutations that were present in all of the PCR clones are shown, ie, the common mutations. The VH genes derived from 2m27 (JA-1, BA-1, and OR-1) do not have an E to K mutation in the eighth FW3 position, because this represents the single nucleotide difference between the 2m27 and 51p1 VH gene segments.
