Analysis of in vivo cytokine production during allergic pleurisy. Measurement of IL-5 and IL-13 production in pleural cavity of wild-type (+/+) and NFAT1^−/− mice sensitized with OVA and challenged in the pleural cavity with PBS or OVA. Pleural washes were obtained 24 hours after OVA challenge and assessed for cytokine levels by ELISA. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM of values from 5 mice.
