Analysis of allergic eosinophil accumulation into the pleural cavity after treatment with anti–IL-5 and anti–IL-4 neutralizing MoAb. Total numbers of eosinophils in the pleural cavity of wild-type (+/+) and NFAT1−/− mice were assessed in animals sensitized with OVA and challenged in the pleural cavity with PBS or OVA. Mice were left untreated (none) or treated with anti–IL-5 or anti–IL-4 neutralizing MoAb as described in Materials and Methods. Different concentrations of anti-IL–5 (1 mg/kg and 5 mg/kg) were used for treatment as indicated. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM of values from 5 to 12 mice.
