PBMNC from four mice were pooled within each group for CFU assays (see Materials and Methods). In all growth factor-treated groups, total CFU per mL of PB and CFU frequency per 105 cells had almost returned to pretreatment values 1 week postgrowth factor treatment (data not shown). This experiment was performed twice giving very similar results (only differing in the route of injection [IP] and dosage of G-CSF and GM-CSF [5 μg/mouse/d]).
