Rejection implies crosspresentation of tumor antigens by MHC class II molecules on intratumor myeloid cells and maybe on endothelial cells in the tumor stroma. T-cell cytokines (IFN-γ, TNF α/β, GM-CSF) display deleterious effects on tumor vascularization and activate both macrophages and NK cells to become tumoricidal.
