Cell-surface distribution of uropod markers in late mitotic CB-derived CD34⁺CD133⁺ cells. Before double labeling with anti-CD133 (red staining) and either anti-CD43, anti-CD44, anti–ICAM-1, or anti–ICAM-3 antibodies (green staining), cells were cultured for 3 days in serum-containing medium supplemented with early-acting cytokines. Note that CD133 as well as the other uropod markers are highly enriched at the cleavage furrow or midbody of dividing CD34⁺CD133⁺ cells.
