PPAR-γ ligands decrease human PMN chemotaxis. Cells were isolated and treated with troglitazone (Tro; 1-10 μM) or 15d-PGJ2 (PGJ2; 1-10 μM) for 2 hours before stimulation with (A) 10−7 M fMLP or (B) 100 ng/mL IL-8 for assessment of chemotaxis. All data are expressed as mean PMN count per high-powered field at 100× magnification (PMNs/hpf). *P < .05 compared with DMSO (vehicle) treated cells.
