Blockade of VEGF-C/D profoundly attenuates the LPS- and LTA-induced lymphangiogenesis in the inflamed ear skin and DLNs, and lymphatic flow and mobilization of inflammatory cells from the inflamed skin to DLNs. AdsVEGFR-3 (R3, 109 pfu), Adβ-gal (βg, 109 pfu), or none was injected 12 hours before the intradermal injection of PBS (P), LPS, or LTA.
