Impact of age on outcome after transplantation from an HLA-identical sibling 1999 to 2009. In 2316 patients reported to the EBMT database, irrespective of whether the transplant was the first or a subsequent treatment. Five-year survival probabilities are 85% ± 2%, 77% ± 4%, 71% ± 7%, 68% ± 8%, and 48% ± 10% in the age groups < 20, 21 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, and > 50 years.
