Plasma Epo levels after cessation of erythropoietin therapy.

Plasma Epo values in unmanipulated (black squares) or splenectomized (white squares) iron-overloaded rats after cessation of treatment with 150 U rHuEpo per day for 20 days. Results are expressed as percentages of the mean value obtained between days 70 and 80. Mean ± SD values of control untreated rats are given at the right of the figure.
