Enhancement of banded/segmented neutrophils in bone marrow of SCH 14988-treated mice. BALB/cJ mice were treated with CY and SCH 14988 or vehicle as described in Fig 4 legend, and femoral bone marrow cells were prepared on day 6. Cells were placed on glass slides and stained with Wright-Giemsa before evaluation. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM and are representative of three separate experiments. ▪ indicates normal, age-matched control mice; □ indicates CY-treated, vehicle-treated mice; ▧ indicates CY-treated, SCH 14988-treated mice. The difference in the percentage of segmented neutrophils between the vehicle and SCH 14988 treatment groups is statistically significant at P < .001 as determined by the Students' t-test.
