Effect of FN- and HS-added LTBMCs on colony formation by the produced cells from LTBMCs of TN-C–deficient mice and of control mice. At week 3 after induction of LTBMCs with FN at the final concentration of 0, 2, and 10 μg/mL or HS at 0, 5, and 50 μg/mL, nonadherent cells were obtained and cultured in methylcellulose medium. Results are mean ± SD of triplicate plates and are expressed as the percentage of the value obtained in nonadherent cells from control LTBMCs without FN, which formed 122 ± 3 colonies including 7 ± 1 erythroid bursts per 5 × 104 nonadherent cells at week 3, and from control LTBMCs without HS, which formed 122 ± 2 colonies including 9 ± 2 erythroid bursts per 5 × 104nonadherent cells at week 3.
