Effect of NaCl concentration on the bindings of β₂GPI and r-Domain V and of their nicked forms to liposomes containing CL. Solutions containing intact β₂GPI (▪), nicked β₂GPI (•), intact r-Domain V (□), or nicked (○) and various concentrations of NaCl in 10 mmol/L Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, were mixed with liposomes containing CL and PC. After the incubation at 25°C for 30 minutes, the mixtures were centrifuged at 120,000g for 1 hour. The amount of proteins in the supernatant was measured as described by Hagihara et al.11 The amount of proteins in the absence of liposomes at the indicated NaCl concentration was taken to be 100%.
