Kinetics of DC generation in the presence of IL-7. Cells recovered from control and IL-7–treated FTOC were cytospun onto slides, and stained with anti–MHC class II MoAbs. Percentages of MHC class II⁺ cells exhibiting DC morphology were determined at days 0, 7, 12, and 18. Five thousand cells were scored in 5 to 10 cytospin preparations. At each time point, the absolute numbers of total DC (A) and their distinct subpopulations (B) were obtained by multiplying the total number of cells per lobe by the corresponding percent for each population.
