IL-10 selectively suppresses LPS-induced chemokine gene expression. TG-elicited macrophages (1 × 10⁷) were treated with LPS (10 ng/mL) in the absence or presence of IL-10 (25 ng/mL) for 2 hours. Total RNA was prepared and the levels of IP-10, RANTES, and GAPDH mRNA were analyzed using northern hybridization. Similar results were obtained in three separate experiments.
