Effect of vanadate on the activation of the LTR by neutrophils and PMA. The reaction mixture contained 2 × 10⁶ Jurkat LTR_luc and, where indicated, 3 × 10⁻⁵ mol/L vanadate, 100 ng/mL PMA, and neutrophils at the levels indicated, in RPMI at a final volume of 2.0 mL. The results are the mean + SEM of four to five experiments, and the asterisk indicates a significant difference from the absence of vanadate (P < .05).
