Effect of octreotide on proliferation. Exponentially growing cells from stock cultures were seeded at a concentration of 4 × 10⁵ cells/mL and incubated for 48 hours with different concentrations of octreotide. Cells were harvested and total and viable cells were counted using Trypan blue exclusion to determine viability. Experiments were set up in triplicates.
