The role of PK-C–dependent pathway. In 1 group (GF+Et), the cells were pretreated for 30 minutes with 1 μmol/L of the specific PK-C inhibitor GF, followed by 1 hour of incubation with 100 nmol/L Et-1. In another group (Et+GF), GF was added 30 minutes after the initial treatment with Et-1. Cells were treated with Et-1 for a total of 1 hour.
