Adhesion of human platelets in response to 90 minutes of ischemia and subsequent reperfusion. Human platelets derived from healthy human subjects or from a patient suffering from Glanzmann’s disease ( IIb/β3−/−) were labeled with rhodamine-6G and transfused into wild-type mice. Platelet-endothelial cell interactions were investigated in arterioles (A) and venules (B) using IVM. Sham-operated animals served as controls.
