Defensin and defensin/¹²⁵I-Lp(a) bind tightly to HUVEC matrix. ¹²⁵I-Lp(a) (10 nmol/L; □) or 2.5 μmol/L defensin/10 nmol/L ¹²⁵I-Lp(a) (▪) were incubated with HUVEC matrix as described in the legend to Fig 1 for 1 hour at 37°C. The matrix was washed 4 times with 200 μL binding buffer, 200 μL binding buffer was added for the indicated times, and the bound radioactivity was measured. The mean of 2 experiments performed in triplicate is shown.
