Donor type chimerism after transplantation of Sca-1⁺Lin⁻ cells: the synergistic effect of non-alloreactive T cells and purified Sca-1⁺Lin⁻ cells. Different groups of sublethally (7 Gy) irradiated C3H/HeJ recipients (H2^k+) were transplanted with 2 × 10⁵ (C57BL/6) Sca-1⁺Lin⁻ cells (H2^b+), 10 × 10⁶ (C3H/HeJ × C57BL/6)F1 T cells (H2^k+H2^b+), or both. Peripheral blood chimerism was analyzed 30 days posttransplant by flow cytometry, monitoring the engraftment of Sca-1⁺Lin⁻cells (C57BL/6) (H2^b+) (A) and (C3H/HeJ × C57BL/6)F1 T cells (H2^k+H2^b+) (B). Data were pooled from 5 independent experiments.
