Expression of MEFV mRNA in different populations of peripheral blood cells.
Total RNAs were isolated from the indicated subsets of leukocytes and subjected to RT-PCR using specific oligonucleotides for MEFV, lactoferrin, and β-actin. Amplification occurred for 30, 25, and 22 cycles, respectively. PCR fragments were separated by agarose gel electrophoresis, transferred to a nylon membrane, and hybridized with a gene-specific internal oligonucleotide labeled with DIG.
