At each time point, the overlying medium was removed and proteins were precipitated by trichloroacetic acid (TCA). The TCA-soluble radioactivity (ie, degradation products) was determined. Degradation of bacterial recombinant 125I-TFPI by HepG2 cells was performed in the identical manner and served as a control. Numbers represent the means of duplicate determinations. Total degraded125I-TFPI at 4 hours was less than 10% input.
