Presence of E-containing plasmin cleavage products in vivo. In vitro: a 30-minute time point from plasmin digestion of purified fibrinogen-420 (see Figure 5). In vivo: plasma samples were collected from patients with myocardial infarction 30 minutes into treatment with either streptokinase (SK) or tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). Proteins were separated on 10% SDS-PAGE gels under nonreducing conditions, Western blotted, and detected using monoclonal anti-αEC #29-1.
