In Pml^−/− cells, PML-RAR accumulates in nuclear microspeckles and recruits endogenous SUMO-1 and Daxx to these aberrant sites.

PML^−/− MEFs were transfected with pSG5-PML-RARα. After 24 hours, cells were harvested and cytospun onto glass slides for immunofluorescence analysis.
