Induction of apoptosis in monocytes by Delta^ext-myc in the presence of M-CSF compared to GM-CSF.

Monocytes were cultured with 10% FCS IMDM containing M-CSF (10 ng/mL), GM-CSF (100 ng/mL), or M-CSF plus GM-CSF in the presence of Delta^ext-myc (1 μg/mL) or purified control medium. All wells were coated with anti-myc 9E10 F(ab′)₂fragments. Cells were harvested at 12 hours, washed with binding buffer, and incubated in binding buffer containing annexin V-FITC and PI. The mean and standard error of annexin V positive cells in the PI negative window for the 3 wells are shown. (*) represents statistical difference compared with respective control.
