A2AR deficient thymocytes are not susceptible to extracellular adenosine and CGS21680-induced apoptosis and cell death. / Ex vivo thymocytes from wild type mice (A2AR+/+) or from A2AR deficient (A2AR−/−) mice were incubated 20 hours at 37°C in 5% CO2 incubator in the presence of adenosine (100 μmol/L) or adenosine analog CGS21680 (1 μmol/L), and the extent of cell death was measured by flow cytometry as described in “Materials and methods.”
