Tumor-specific, MHC class I–restricted release of cytokines by the T-cell line.

T cells derived from patient HR were assayed for release of TNF-α in response to stimulation by autologous plasmacytoma cells. The T cells (2.5 × 10⁶) were cultured for 5 days with fresh autologous plasmacytoma cells (5 × 10⁴) in either the absence or presence of an anti-MHC class I MoAb. T cells alone or tumor cells alone were used as controls. Supernatants from the cultures were harvested and assessed for TNF-α production by ELISA.
