Blood cell phenotypes exhibited by QCE6 cells.
QCE6 cells were cultured for 6 days in either MeC (A, D, F) or FB (B, C, E) gels and subsequently stained with MGG solution. Representative cell types that developed from the QCE6 cultures were as follows: clustered vacuolated macrophages surrounded by erythroblasts (A), RBCs (asterisk) (B), mixed group of RBCs (arrowheads) and monocytes (arrows) (C), aggregated macrophages (D), monocytes (E), and early developing heterophils (note granules) (arrow) (F).
