Effect of human sPLA2 on EC migration.
BAECs were placed in the upper compartment of the Transwell chamber and increasing concentrations of human pancreatic group IB sPLA2 (hGIB sPLA2, 0.01-1 μmol/L) were added in the lower compartment. Migration was evaluated at 2 hours of incubation at 37°C. Migrated cells were stained and quantified by counting nuclei in 4 random fields (× 10)/filter. FBS (10%) was used as a positive control. Bars represent the mean ± SE of triplicate determinations. Similar results were obtained in 3 independent experiments.
