Adhesion of resting unstimulated PMNs or PMNs activated with fMLP (10−7 M) for 10 minutes at 37°C was measured using neutrophils from the affected subject (░) or from a control subject (▪) studied in parallel. This figure represents a single experiment (n = 2 for each condition) and is representative of 9 studies, using one or more of the indicated surfaces, each of which demonstrated decreased adhesion of the patient's PMNs compared with control neutrophils.
