Sickle RBC oxygen equilibrium curves in the presence of NS3623.

Human SS cells were incubated with NS3623 (0, 10, 50, and 200 μM). HbS-hemoglobin oxygen saturation (percentage, ordinate axis) was measured in intact cells as a function of oxygen partial pressure (abscissa axis). Hill coefficients and oxygen half-saturation mean pressures ± SDs (n = 4) are indicated on the individual curves.
