Role of CD1d in ex vivo expansion of CD8⁺NKT cells.

Splenocytes were isolated from C57BL/6 WT or CD1^−/−animals and cultured as described for 21 days. Phenotypic analysis was performed at days 0 and 21, as well as cytotoxicity against a panel of target cells at day 21.
