Cytokine production by naive CD45RA CD4+ allogeneic T cells.
(A) CD4+ T cells were cocultured for 6 days with either IFN-γ–, TNF-α–, and CD40L-treated DCs or with CI-treated mature DCs. On day 6, the T cells were harvested, washed, and restimulated on plates coated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 for 24 hours. Supernatants were harvested and analyzed by ELISA for the production of IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, or IFN-γ. Results are those of a representative experiment of 6 different experiments. The letter A indicates the fold expansion from initial starting number of T cells. (B) Production of cytokines by restimulated CD4+ T cells.
