Inhibition of LPS effects in the absence of serum.

(A) LPS transfer was assessed by a FACS-based method as described in “Patients, materials, and methods.” Monocytes were incubated with increasing concentrations of rhLBP starting with 1μg/mL as indicated and with 1 μg/mL FITC-LPS. Presented are the values of 3 independent experiments. (B) Monocytes were incubated with increasing concentrations of rhLBP starting with 1μg/mL as indicated and with 10 ng/mL LPS.
