Microarray patterns of mRNA expression for 7 lymphoid-associated genes in normal and neoplastic lymphoid cells.
These data are from a series reported by Alizadeh et al (http://llmpp.nih.gov/lymphoma) that included samples of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas. On the basis of microarray analysis, these tumors were assigned to 2 categories (with different clinical behavior), with one resembling germinal-center cells and the other having an activated B-cell phenotype. The frequency of positive immunostaining for the 7 markers in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma indicated by published studies and the authors' experience is indicated beneath the microarray images.
