Annexin-V/fluorescein isothiocyanate FACS analysis of apoptotic cell death.

Representative data for 32D/TREx/Ik6 clone 11 are shown. In 24-hour culture in IL-3–deprived medium, apoptosis occurred in about 6.1% of the cells (A) when tetracycline was present, compared with 25.7% (B) when it was absent (P = .032). At 36 hours of culture, only about 20% of the cells cultured in the presence of tetracycline were necrotic or apoptotic (C), contrasted with about 60% of those growing in the absence of tetracycline (D) (P = .028).
