Dose response of exogenous AA on stress-induced 5-LO product formation.
Freshly isolated PMNLs (5 × 106 in 1 mL PGC buffer) were either stimulated with 2.5 μM ionophore A23187 plus the indicated concentrations of AA, or preincubated with 0.3 M NaCl or with 10 μM SA for 3 minutes at 37°C, prior to addition of AA at the indicated concentrations. The reaction was terminated 5 minutes after addition of AA and 5-LO products were determined. Results are given as mean + SE (n = 3-4).
