Induction of apoptosis in EBV-specific CD8⁺cells.

(A) PBMCs were activated by CD3/IL-2 and stained with Dioc-6, PE-labeled HLA-A2/GLC tetramer, and PC5-CD8 mAb. The percentage of apoptotic (Dioc-6⁻) cells, gated on CD8⁺tetramer⁺ cells, is indicated for each time of culture. (B) Nonstimulated (dashed lines, open symbols) or CD3/IL-2–activated (full lines, closed symbols) PBMCs were stained at the indicated time with FITC-labeled annexin V, PE-labeled HLA-A2/GLC tetramer, and PC5-CD8 mAb.
